I would like to find a kit that includes everything i need and also comes with instructions....i want it to last all day long, but i dont want it to rub off on the dress......oh and my skin gets really oily that 's one of the main reasons i dont wear make-up.....im gettin married in the summer and it gets really hot. Help!I wanna do my own make up for my wedding day but i dont know nothing about , primer and foundation...any tips?
Look, this is your wedding day. Your dream day - Right? Have your make-up done by a pro. If you don't want to spend any money just go to the mall and have MAC or Chanel do it for you for free (or they might make you buy something small).
Just tell the makeup artist that you don't like allot of make up and you want a natural look. Then, get either the Clean%26amp;Clear or Victoria's Secret oil absorbing sheets incase your skin gets really shiny.
This is your special day. You'll have the rest of your life to do your own make-up. Good Luck =)I wanna do my own make up for my wedding day but i dont know nothing about , primer and foundation...any tips?
You can try on different colors and brands of makeup at taaz.com. You try the colors on your own picture. It's a great way to see what looks good on you, not just what makeup looks like in the package.
I would say that if you are not experienced in makeup application, have your makeup done by a professional. That way the makeup artist can give you the look you want, whether it be fresh and innocent, romantic beauty, or something dramatic. You can discuss your color scheme of your wedding, how your hair will be done and what your dress looks like. He or she can give you the perfect look that ties in with your whole wedding. You certainly don't want to get your wedding pictures back and find out you look like you should have had your wedding under the big top of a three ring circus. And don't rely on your bridesmaids to tell you your makeup looks bad. If they hate the dress they have to wear, they could be out for revenge, LOL.
go to the mall and ask them to recomend a tinted moisturiser and a light loose powder that you can dust over it to keep your make up in place, primer helps, mac have a great one out and make up stays on all day. for the sake of the day it is I would defo recomend getting it done professional so you will look fab.
i dont know what to tell you cuz i dn't realyy know what you skin tone is or anything but have a family member help you out
and congrats on your wedding

How can you get make up or spots out of a wedding dress?
You can spot clean it, but if you want to preserve the dress, get it immediately to a dry cleaner who specializes in wedding dress stabilization......point out the spots!! Yes, it is expensive, but not as much as the dress.
Treated spots are just that, treated. They are not gone. Over time they reappear along with the cleaner used to treat them. How can you get make up or spots out of a wedding dress?
Try Tide Spot Remover or Shout wipes both of those should work and not leave a stain. Hope I helped! How can you get make up or spots out of a wedding dress?
have it professionally cleaned an stored. When you go to pick up your dress make sure you see it. A lot of people get the wrong dress....my mom got no dress at all!
Liqid TSP should work, it takes grape juice out of carpet. Soak and rinse well. Of course, try on a hidden spot to make sure it doens'nt harm the fabric. Best of luck!
I took mine to the cleaners.

I need help finding a reasonable Atlanta on-location make-up and hair stylist for a wedding?
I have found some for around 300 for both hair and makeup for the bride. I would love if someone knew of some salons who offer these services and have or knows someone who has used them. Thanks!I need help finding a reasonable Atlanta on-location make-up and hair stylist for a wedding?
ask for a test- most places give the brides a trial build into the packages so you know what you are getting. Sometimes they will test 1 bridesmaids too.

Can anyone recommend a god web site that i can make a professional wedding album up?
i have used snapfish and the photos i have seem to big eg. cut peoples heads off and dont get the full picture into the frame? im from the uk so just sites from here please
Can anyone recommend a god web site that i can make a professional wedding album up?
The problem isn't the printing service you're using.
The problem is that YOU must resize the pictures before you upload them, otherwise the machine will automatically chop wherever necessary to get a print size you've requested.
Why? Because the digital camera and/or 35mm film frame SHAPE is NOT the same as, say an 8x10 or 5x7.
Here's an explanation of why that happens, and a tutorial on how to avoid it.
http://www.jimsdigitaldiary.com/8x10.htm鈥?/a>
But - and this is the part that so many people don't understand until it happens to them (as has just happened to you) - it most cases, there is no human being looking at your file and making a judgement to edge the picture up or down in order to not cut off someone's head, etc.
That's why you MUST do it yourself, or be resigned to accepting what the machine gives you.Can anyone recommend a god web site that i can make a professional wedding album up?

How much does it usually cost to get your hair and make-up done for your wedding day?
I have never had this done beforeHow much does it usually cost to get your hair and make-up done for your wedding day?
Are you getting this done in a salon or are you hiring a stylist/make-up artist to travel to your wedding sight?
If you are having this work done in a salon the prices are hingent on the salon/the stylist/ and the cost of living for your area.
A typical up-do can cost anywhere between $45-$100.00.
A make-up artist can cost anywhere between $20.00-$75.00.
If you are having the stylist(s) come to you, they may charge a travel fee (circa $25.00-$60.00) or they may charge you by the hour (circa $50.00-$100.00).
I know it sounds expensive but it's usually well worth it.
As a side note- I witnessed a co-worker skimp on this detail and she had a friend do her make-up, unfortunately my co-worker looks WAY better when she does her own make-up. So if you choose to enlist a friend, please make sure they know what they are doing!
Good Luck. How much does it usually cost to get your hair and make-up done for your wedding day?
It cost me $75 for hair and I think it was $55 for make-up. I'm not sure if where you live makes a difference, but I live in California.
For my make-up, I went to Macy's department store and had the gal at the Clinique counter do my make-up. I had done a ';trial run'; with her (which wasn't as expensive) and I liked what she did, so I had her do my make-up the day of the wedding. I highly suggest a trial run on both make-up and hair. I had gone to a MAC counter and had my make-up done as a trial run, but it was a little over-the-top. I'm glad I tried a couple places. Of course, if you find one you like on the first try, all the better!
My normal hairdresser did my hair, and I didn't have it up, so if you're having it up and normally don't wear it that way, make sure you have it done at least once in advance. The style you picked may not look as good on you as you think, and your hairdresser should be able to help pick a similar style that would suit you.
Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!
In the most recent wedding I was a bridesmaid in (I live in the Chicagoland area) it cost $60 for our updos and $30 for the makeup, and then there was tipping for the stylist and the makeup artist, so it was about $125. The salon we went to had us put down a $50 deposit in advance, so it wasn't too bad when we actually paid. Call around and ask salons if they will offer a discounted rate if you bring in your whole wedding party, etc. Just make sure you do a ';test run'; of your hair and makeup before the big day to make sure you like it!! Congrats and good luck!
I am having my friend %26amp; my cousin fix mine %26amp; my bridemaids hair. We will have a get-together a couple of weeks before the wedding to try our hairstyles %26amp; see what looks best. So it will be free!
When I have had my hair professionally done, it was around $65.00
For make-up, you should be able to go to a beauty counter in a department store %26amp; have it done for free. I have no idea how much it would cost if you paid someone.

How much should I pay a friend of a friend to do my make-up on my wedding day ?
She is a professional make-up artist and I would like her to drive 1 hr. the day of the wedding to do my make-up. Would also want her to do my my three sisters hair. How much should I pay for this? How much should I pay a friend of a friend to do my make-up on my wedding day ?
Ask her what she would charge if she were in the shop, and pay her that much. But definately do a trial run first, to make sure you like how she does your makeup. Just because she's a pro doesn't mean you're going to like what she does. And it'd be very awkward if she did this on your wedding day, and you didn't like the look if it.How much should I pay a friend of a friend to do my make-up on my wedding day ?
ask her how much she is charging...my friend does makeup for weddings...if they want air bush makeup its $70.00...regular makeup 60.
well that is alot of work your asking her, as a courtesy pay her some gas money just for driving that far, then ask her how much she wants for the job, seeing that your a friend of her friend she may discount you, or she may not. Its kinda hard to tell someone that your only gonna pay so much money for so much work.
mac charges around 70 dollars , so somewhere around there
But it's your wedding day, what kind of friend would pit you lower financially with the wedding cost and not do u a favor? I would pay her $10
Professionals should be paid but if she is professional, she should have a list of prices. Ask her what her price range is and it also depends on the type of makeup she is using. Chanel should be priced higher
Hope this helps
i would ask her what her fee is going to be. considering that she is a friend of yours, she might wave the fee as a wedding present. i wouldn't count on it, but just ask her what she charges.
You should get her to give you a discount on her regular rate and pay that. I'd guess she'd give you 20% off. You are asking for a pretty big favor, so if you can't pay close to regular price or if she offers to do it for nothing, get her a NICE thank you gift.
my wife is a make up artist $250.00 for the bride and $50.00 for each brides made. if it is a true friend it may be less but 250.00 and 50.00 is the lowest going rate.
I agree ask her and if she does it for free, get her a nice gift. Most places I looked at $100 for hair and extra $75 for makeup per person. I also have a friend of a friend doing it for me and I am paying her $100 per person CASH for 8 people.
I am in NJ so it depends on your area but you can call salons to get an idea on how much they charge.
Ask her - she will give you her prices and then go from there. She may give it to you for free and say it's her wedding gift to you.
@ 75 IS OK BUT ASK HER FIRST..WHATEVER PICE SHE GIVES IF UNDER 80 GIVE A 10 TIP.
Hopefully she would do your makeup for free as a gift for your wedding. Usually it's about $40. Hair, depending on the style is about $40/person as well. Plus tip!
Just ask her. And if the quote seems low to you, give her a very generous tip, and of COURSE, invite her and a guest to the wedding.
On my wedding day I paid $60 to MAC for a make up consultation in Vegas.......what that is is a reserved private setting with one of their artistes for about an hour. Call around to major department stores and see if they have a make up counter and ask how much do they charge....that way you can get a general idea... plus add on travel and commute....Gas is high
Ask your friend how much she charges....just be honest with her and if she is a friend she will not rip you off.....
She should tell you how much she is going to charge. Just call her up and tell her what you are wanting and don't forget to mention that she will have to make a little bit of a drive that day. See what she says. I say, she'll probably give you a discount because you are her friend and maybe you should give her a little bit extra for helping you out.

How should I do my make-up as a bridesmaid in a wedding?
My bridesmaid's dress is periwinkle and strapless. Anyway, I am very tan and have almond shaped almost black eyes. (I am not oriential, but my eyes look like I might be 1/2 or 1/4) What should I do for eye make up? Should I use periwinkle eye shadow? What about eye liner? I use black eyeliner everyday to make my eyes ';pop';. What should I do for this occation???How should I do my make-up as a bridesmaid in a wedding?
I say lavender eyeshadow...it looks gorg when ure wearing pastel colors...and I would suggest some blush and pink lipgloss...dont overdo it...weddings are a happy event...no drastic makeup! How should I do my make-up as a bridesmaid in a wedding?
You should keep your makeup as natural as possible. DO NOT match your eye shadow to your dress. Either use a a natural beige or taupe with some sparkle or go for the smoky eye look. If you are doing a dramitic eye, go very natural on the lip. a sheer pink gloss would look nice. Do not over-do the blush, keep it light and natural.
You may want to try to go to a couple of department store makeup counters for tips, which could be hit or miss, or just try a few websites and practice on your own until you find a look you are comfortable with.

Please do not make the mistake of matching your eyeshadow to your dress. The best thing is probably emphasize your eyes and make them kinda smokey. Dont' wear black eyeliner though cuz most likely there will be some crying involved. I think a dark gray or dark metallic brown would look good. Try MAC products...they have a great range of color
What time is the wedding? If it is 5 or earlier, be very natural and subtle. 6 or later can be a little more dramatic.
The most important thing is to not upstage the bride, and your make-up should be similar to the other bridesmaids.
i'd say go light on the make up because you dont want it to look like you are trying to steal the spot light, go with a light pink or purple(periwinkle) and little to no eyeliner. maybe a light pink blush and some lip gloss.
do something nice and natural, its a wedding. do something easy so you dont have to go through the hassle of reapplying make-up every 20 mins.do the black eyeliner and a nice light eyeshadow.. you should also ask the bride for some advice she should be good help

I want make-up that lasts for a wedding, any suggestions?
I am looking for make-up, tips or whatever. I need the makeup to last ALL day, please help me. My sister is being witchy and won't tell me what she used on us for another wedding so now I am searching.
Thank you....I want make-up that lasts for a wedding, any suggestions?
As expensive as they are, I find the more expensive make up brands like ';chanel'; or ';MAC'; to be the best for events like that. For prom, I got my make-up done at Chanel and the make-up lasted all day/night.. it was wonderful. Look into that, maybe you can have your make up done there or at a similar make-up stand for the wedding. (I paid $30.00 though, but I got to pick out a lipstick! See how it works with your local make-up places.)I want make-up that lasts for a wedding, any suggestions?
Dior's and Chanel's make-ups last really long.(but they cost up to 30$). Mac is also a good choice.
But remember, in order to make the make-up last longer, don't forget your moisturizing cream before applying it and a light powder after applying it.
Good Luck!
MAC is the best it will last all day and still look beautiful
Mac Make up
Except there Eye Liner

Go to a beauty salon or a salon that has cosmotologists. You could also go to a school and have a teacher do it.
make up ranges doesn't effect a lot in lasting all day long there shld b tricks.go for compact and thn apply ayeshadow it will definetely stay longer do same for lips. even go for revlon and maybellin
Here are some items you can consider buying:
1. Cream based foundation from MAC (Last long, very good range of colours and texture. Sponge provided is also very smooth)
2. MAC Concealer - I recommend MAC cos you really only need alittle to last a long time,
3. Loose / pressed powder - Stila's loose powder is fantastic.
4. Get a good set of eyeshadow colours, (MAC, Lancome) try to get one with dark brown inside so you can double that up as eyebrow powder.
5. Blusher from MAC - Nice range of colours for all skin tones,
6. Lipstick - Clinique, not so dry and good range of natural colours.
7. Eyeliner %26amp; Mascara - Dior or Lancome, both have good ranges.
What you need to do is start with moisturizer before all else to prep your skin. Begin with cream foundation, then concealer under your eyes, above your eyelids to bring out the eyeshadow colour later, the bridge of your nose, and side of your lips.
Next, set the foundation with loose powder and brush off excess. Then, draw your brows and choose an eyeshadow colour that compliments your gown, if you're fair, go for pastels, if you have olive skin tones, go for earthy colours. Draw your eyeliner, curl lashes and put mascara on. Then, add the blusher and lipstick and add a tinch of gloss to seal the colour in.
You're done!
Clinique is great!!!
Good luck!

MAC Makeup is the best if you want to do your eyes. That will last all day! I use this paint base on my lids before i apply the shadows and that helps the shadows stay on longer. Also there lipsticks are wonderful and stay on full along with there lip glosses.
There powders and blushes are heaven also. Just go to MAC and have them do your makeup for you and you will be amazed. They can even schedule you to have your makeup done the day of the wedding to stay on they way you like it.
look into getting ur makeup airbrushed on, it not only lasts a long time but it looks flawless. This technique is used on models for shoots and fashion shows. Good Luck!
oh and why is ur sister not telling you...that sounds really immature

make up ranges doesn't effect a lot in lasting all day long there shld b tricks.go for compact and thn apply ayeshadow it will definetely stay longer do same for lips. even go for revlon and maybellin

What type of make up shall I wear for my wedding?
I am getting married next year and doing my own make up as cant afford it done for me. I have no idea what colours to use. I have blue eyes and mouse brown hairWhat type of make up shall I wear for my wedding?
use natural colours %26amp; just make it look natual, less is more
some nice lip gloss, browns %26amp; golds to blend in with your skin toneWhat type of make up shall I wear for my wedding?
Do very soft makeup. It always looks the best. My brother got married in january and his wife now had someone come in to do the makeup. The bridesmaids looked like clowns. She said so it would show in the pics. I did my own makeup and everyone raved about it. I wore a matelic purple and brown eyeliner with black mascara. I have brown eyes though.
I would go with a green or purple color with black eyeliner and mascara. if you wear black eyeliner your eyes pop more. just make the liner very thin- not thick!
congrats!
Stay neutral, and use brown-black mascara. No black eyeliner! Bad in the pictures!
Do not use black mascara, no matter what, you're eyes will look like spidery slits in the pictures.
Stay neutral so that you enhance and not overwhelm. Your pictures should showcase you, not your makeup. No blue or purple or green eyeshadow, whatever you do!
Check out a local beauty school, they will often do your make up for a couple of dollars, and you can try it out a couple of times before the big day.
I'd say go for more of a natural color (you don't want to look unnatural on your wedding day). Save the aqua blue shadow for another day. I'd say browns/peaches/creams for the eyes, peach for the cheeks, and peach/pink/rose tint for lips. Why not go to cosmetic counter or Sephora or MAC to let them make you up and give you suggestions for your big day. Don't forget to curl your lashes and wear waterproof mascara.
arabic makeup
i say keep it natural, dewy, fresh. maskara, black liner, little balck eye shdow. lip gloss and blusher...
use a mascara that doesnt clog brown eyeliner and shimmer eyeshadow i have bolonde hair and blue eyes and thats what i wore on my wedding i looked really pretty! have a nice wedding!
Go for creams for eyes with a bit of eyeliner and mascara with a natural blusher and a clear lipgloss

Did anyone do there own make up for their wedding?
If you did how did it go. I have had a trial, and didn't like what they did. It was uncomfortable, and kinda sloppy. These were the best the the knot had to offer, I like the way i do my own make up, but not sure what to do, that day i will have lots to do already.
Did your pics turn out okay, or was it to light...Did anyone do there own make up for their wedding?
I am 60, and have been married twice, each time for about 10 years give or take a month or two. First time at age 20, the second time at age 40. Both women did their own makeup for the ceremony. Both did a wonderful job and were stunning in appearance. Both also were instrumental in the design and construction of their respective wedding dresses. Both were advised a little by one of their friends when they needed an extra hand while getting dressed for the occasion. Even though eventually my marriages ended, these are both are good women, we just grew apart, probably as a result of my being in the military causing a strain they could not overcome from my regular deployments overseas for 6 months at a time... Sigh... I'm just saying that ladies can and will do their own makeup if they feel they have the skill set. My suggestion is to practice. Try something different maybe. I know both women experimented with differing looks before settling on the final. Both women I married practiced for a couple of weeks before and worked with some friends to achieve the desired effect. And it worked. Very subtle, light color with a hint of eye shadow.. Both also worked with the photographer and did test shots to see what shading and coloring would look best in the photographs. One caveat, use lipstick which will NOT come off. There is nothing worse than leaving lipstick on the lip of a champagne glass, or worse, someone's cheek. You should NOT wait until the last minute or you will not get the results you desire. Hence, the advice to practice. Best wishes for the day...Did anyone do there own make up for their wedding?
I did my own make up and it looked just great. Had a friend help me with my hair because I was very uncomfortable about how to do that and she did a fabulous job. The pictures were good.
If you do not feel good about the trial, find someone else or do it yourself.
And ask your friends for help with the ';lots to do already';. I had friends who opened the door so my friend and I could focus on getting my gorgeous looks to show and getting dressed. Another friend helped me with the guest book at the reception. Her two little girls were her assistants and they were very persistent in getting every single guest to sign it. Everyone loves to help out, especially on weddings :)
Hope you will have a wonderful day and a blessed marriage.
Hey! Yes I did my own make up for my wedding. The photos turned out really good. If you know how to do your own make up then I would definitely recommend it. You will have a lot to do on the day but you'll still be able to find the time....!
What I would recommend is if you do decide to do it yourself, practice a few times before hand. Pick the colours that you decide to have and keep doing it till it becomes easy. That's what I did, and I didn't have any problems!! Have fun %26amp; congrats for your wedding.
I did the brides make up when she got married last year and she loved it.
However im going to enlist a mark up artist for my big day :)
Hey Girl, I did my own makeup for my wedding because I KNEW WHAT I WANTED... OK so just try it. You Know your own Beauty Let's see what happens! Good LUCK Darlin'
!
My cousin-in-law had some one do her make-up and she look great.
if u lyk ur own makeup better than do that. i no heaps of ppl that did their own makeup. u will look Beautiful

Im wearing a green wrap dress to a wedding. How should I wear my hair, make-up and nails?
Im wearing black tights and shoes. I have medium brown hair , brown eyes and tan skin. Oh and I dont like French manicures.Im wearing a green wrap dress to a wedding. How should I wear my hair, make-up and nails?
A clear or neutral nail polish would be best. Leave your hair down, maybe have them in soft curls or waves. For your make-up, also keep it soft, since your dress is already green. Some chocolate eyeshadows would enhance your eye color, and don't bronze too much.
I don't know about the black tights...Im wearing a green wrap dress to a wedding. How should I wear my hair, make-up and nails?
Hey girl!
Your going to love this trick! Go to a salon and get a french bun on your hair!
get the paris look going on i know you dont like french mancuires but that doesnt mean you wont like french hair bun looks!
also for make-up wear a light colored lip liner, lipstick, and lipgloss put your lip wear on the way i listed for best coverage.
for skin wear bare minerals make-up especially the warmth all over face color.
order the starter kit at www. bare minerals.com
and last but not least for nails wear a darkish and lightish colored nail polish your choice!
for you eyes a light green eyeshadow!
I hope i helped!
Hope the wedding goes Fab
I know you will be the most beautiful person there!
p.s and the bride!
Why don't you try an updo.
Depending on the shade of green I would go with natural color make-up, natural pantyhose and brown shoes,(or no hose at all) hair a few curls to hang and pin the rest up.
green eyeshadow but not too dark hair in soft curls pulled half back and nails maybe like a cream color since u don't like french
NO BLACK TIGHTS!!! But everything else is fine. where you hair in either spiral curals like Monica or where it soft and wavy. where it down. You nails should but clear, neutral, or the color of your dress. Your make-up should be neutral too so it won't be over the top and yet still looks like you have some on. If not, just have some they color of your dress or accesories. You will look fabuloso!
Please don't wear the black tights. Wear nice high heel sandals. For your hair go for something simple, straighten it or do some soft curls. For your makeup I would go for smokey eyes (try some bronzed eye shadow and black eye liner)
Throw out the dress and go gothic style. Black everything. Wear your hair down and curly. Very pretty.
black tights? no dont wear that. black shoes ok hair do it up and if you dont like french manicures, get an american tip manicure it looks more natural some nice green shimmery eyeshadow will be nice

What make-up would you absolutely wear on your wedding day?
I am getting married next summer and I am wondering what your favorite pieces of make-up are. I cannot got without my Diorshow Mascara! What make-up would you absolutely wear on your wedding day?
Some light foundation, blush and lipstick. Go easy on the eye make-up.What make-up would you absolutely wear on your wedding day?
how exciting! Umm i dont like the mineral powder makeup stuff... it gives me allergies. So try to use something that you arent allergic to. I would recommend you going every once and a while to the mall/target/cvs and try samples of every make-up.... Like you may like eyeshadow ffrom one brand company, but you dont like their foundation. Create a combination that suits you best.
I create a combination for myself... like i would get the loreal blush, but i would use maybelline dream liquid mousse for foundation and mascara. For lips i would go for a shimmery color. So i would get a nice lipstick color and add over a bit of lip gloss.
After getting out of the shower, add some nice moisturizer to your face, then add your make-up so that way your face will look fresh and smooth. Or go get a spa treatment for your face before your wedding day! :)

Alexis Vogul is the best makeup brand. i can no longer afford the line, but the makeup is to die for.
it lasts all day, all night. the brand has famous spokespeople with beautiful faces.
i purchased it in 2004 i still have the brushes and instructional video.
it has been the best yet.
I recommend to keep the makeup light..
I once saw a woman on TV who CAKED the makeup on, and she looked gross.
Try light, summery colors, and see if you can match the bouquet you'll be carrying.
Congrats, and Good luck with your man!
Mascara, but go for waterproof to avoid sweat and tear-induced streaking!
Also, I would definitely wear primer--I highly recommend Smashbox Photofinish Light. It keeps you from looking shiny and helps foundation appear smoother, while keeping your makeup from fading.
NONE! even at ur wedding! cauz it will hide ur beauty! DUH! when u kiss him it will be all over him! macara ok but thts all ok! dont destroy ur wedding by make up. also y r u asking yahoo answers ask ur buddies or people u know tht been married
Something light, natural, and classic.
Like this, I like the shimmer shadow:

Bare Minerals Powder! How terrible would it be to have a shiny forehead in every picture!
Benefit lipstick and Urban Decay eyeshadow.
eyeliner and I'm addicted to the diorshow mascara too!! Congratulations and happy wedding planning!!
A great mascara (MAC zoom lash for me), a great blush. Benefit's Dandelion would also be nice.
I would let a makeup artist do my makeup. That way, I'm wearing not only quality makeup, but makeup that will look the best on my face!
You should look like yourself. Do your makeup like you always do.
lips and eyes everything else will end up on your gown on in your boobs
cover up or foundation
None... I despise makeup.

What kind of make-up should I wear for my wedding?
I normally don't wear foundation. Should I wear it? If so , which kind? Something sweat proof? What else should I wear. What kind of make-up should I wear for my wedding?
Go get your make-up done by a professional. They know what will look best with your hair color, eye color and skin tone. Don't risk doing it yourself and ending up looking like a clown. What kind of make-up should I wear for my wedding?
You should probably get it done by a professional, but if you're doing it yourself I'd go for a natural look with an emphasis on the cheeks and either the lips OR the eyes (never both-too overpowering). I wouldn't go too heavy with makeup, because you don't want to look too made up, but blush and mascara is the minimum.
If you're going to wear foundation I'd go with long lasting because while you will have to do some touch ups you want something that'll last through dancing and stuff like that, but only wear it if you actually need it, and make sure it matches your face and neck tones.
Make sure you get a professional that does photography makeup these types of people have professional stage makeup that won't melt smear and looks great...Put alot of effort into this because you have to look at your wedding pictures forever and feel bad or good over your decision...Good luck :)
naturals
You need to hire a professional makuep artist for this occasion but believe me, its worth it!! You deserve to look your best on your day. Too bad we didnt live in the same area, Id help you out because I work as a professional makeup artist. Id highly advise finding one though. And yes you need foundation most definitely. Even if its bare minerals. It depends on how much coverage you need.
Go to a makeup counter and make an appointment.
Ask for natural, and pretty.
Can also get special occasion makeup done at salons.
I did not wear foundation at my wedding, but did brush translucent powder all over my face to absorb oil/sweat, and 'set' the makeup.
Added blusher [ slightly heavier than normal, because of photos ], trio of shadows [ browns, because I have green eyes ], mascara, brow makeup [ mine are invisible ], lip color
[ also slightly brighter ]. Carry, or have a bridesmaid carry a powder compact, a lipstick, and small brush or comb.
If you have your face and hair done by a professional there is some professionals in stores that can help you decide what looks good on you with your hair and makeup for the wedding And the dress that would bring out real you that you like. You can get bridal magazines to get ideas
First off Congrats!!!. Hope hes a nice guy! But yes if I were u I would wear it. AND yea make sure its sweat proof. Cause I can garentee that youll be sweating ALOT
if you have good skin there is NO reason to wear foundation if you have scars or something and feel you would look better then use concealer and foundation to even yoru skin out i always think natural looking make up is WAY better for weddings just cause if you look like a clown it wont be pretty haha maybe just do your eyes and a tiny bit of blush or none at all its up to you for your eyes though if you have dark circles id cover them with concealer and even it out all pretty looking and for your eyes use mascara and curl them with a curler and use a little bit of a light brownish color for your eyeshadow or a tiny bit of a gold anything natural looking will be really pretty its all up to your personal liking maybe ask your fiancee or friends for advice about it id stick to your liking and your fiancees though maybe try something a little different cause this is your special day but not to out there just keep it semi natural looking try out stuff from now til then and test what stuff you like best and i use maybeline dream matte mouse i LOVE it doesnt make you look oily or nothing and just get a liquid concealer but if you already have pretty skin dont get it you wont need it if your skins naturally pretty

if you have good skin there is NO reason to wear foundation if you have scars or something and feel you would look better then use concealer and foundation to even yoru skin out i always think natural looking make up is WAY better for weddings just cause if you look like a clown it wont be pretty haha maybe just do your eyes and a tiny bit of blush or none at all its up to you for your eyes though if you have dark circles id cover them with concealer and even it out all pretty looking and for your eyes use mascara and curl them with a curler and use a little bit of a light brownish color for your eyeshadow or a tiny bit of a gold anything natural looking will be really pretty its all up to your personal liking maybe ask your fiancee or friends for advice about it id stick to your liking and your fiancees though maybe try something a little different cause this is your special day but not to out there just keep it semi natural looking try out stuff from now til then and test what stuff you like best and i use maybeline dream matte mouse i LOVE it doesnt make you look oily or nothing and just get a liquid concealer but if you already have pretty skin dont get it you wont need it if your skins naturally pretty
Can you give me some make-up ideas for my wedding?
I'm getting married in December. I have pale skin, brown eyes, and brown hair. My wedding dress is red. I normally don't wear make-up. I don't want anything really bold, something that looks more natural or even ';frosted'; and shimmering since it will be a winter wedding. If you could provide a picture that would be great! Thanks! Can you give me some make-up ideas for my wedding?
Silver eye shadow would look great!!! Very wintery! You could even press a little bit of the same silver powder into your lipstick for a little highlight.
There are some amazing colors here including a multi-use silver that looks great!

I found these on the MAC cosmetics website:

Search Bee Luscious Cosmetics I would recommend their liquid powder mineral foundation, then their shimmering tides mineral powder in Neutral or Flush of Pink.
The eyes: Try the Triple Split Eyeshadow in either Nantucket or Napa
Automatic Long lasting eye liner in Onyx or eggplant
Lips: LipTox Sheer in Contessa or Precious
You will love all the products, they are very high quality and leave you with a beautiful healthy glow. I am so happy with all my purchases.

As Bobbi Brown says, ';on your wedding day you should look like yourself at your most beautiful.';
I see you with glowing, flawless skin (like those glass dolls), rosy cheeks (since you have fair skin - fair skin ALWAYS looks lovely with blushing pink cheeks), pale lips or bold lips, and a gold eyeshadow (think shimmery gold - not so bold).
Gold goes well with red by the way. Maybe a very light line of eyeliner that is smudged so only a bit of a smoked line are between your lashes. Curled eyelashes and some natural mascara.
There are many sites that you could go to that can give you many ideas. Talk to makeup artists and wear a shirt that matches your dress so they can make some suggestions on what would go well with your skin tone with your dress color.
I hope you have a wonderful wedding and just from your joy alone would make you a beautiful and glowing bride.
Good luck.

Please help, make-up artist how much should i charge for wedding make-up and test??
ok its my friends mums wedding and she would like me to do her make-up for her and a few of the bridesmaids, say 4?
im just woundering how much should i charge for the practice and on the day?
and should they all pay together or seperate?
shes a close friend from school so i dont see her everyday, i dont want to charge too much.., but i still need to get money for this as my products are expensive..
thank you if you can helpPlease help, make-up artist how much should i charge for wedding make-up and test??
Well for the practice charge this:
Bride: 10 (that includes gas mileage, predicts, time)
Bridesmaids: 7 ( again gas mileage, product time)
Real Deal charge:
Bride: 15 dollars
Bridemaids: 10Please help, make-up artist how much should i charge for wedding make-up and test??
I am also a makeup artist. Personally in those situations, I give them a full discount if I like the person (pay only for products and mileage). Or if you don't really like the person, I would only give them a 5-10% discount. If you could get another paying job, its not worth it to miss out on the extra money. http://www.stephcas.com
Depends how close you are with them. If you are really close I would suggest just charging for how much product you expect to use and assume they will tip you for your time. If your a little more distance charge for the product then add around 15% of that cost for your time.
I am also a makeup artist and I would say $10-$20 a person, since you are friends with them.

Clinique or No.7 for wedding make up??
Or neither??!Clinique or No.7 for wedding make up??
I am going to go with the airmans wife......I have always wanted to try bare minerals but haven't.....now I am going to have too. You will look beautiful, you want to go a little heavier than normal on the eye make up for it to come out nicely in the pics. If you can have a makeup artist do your makeup you will not be disappointed....she can still use bareminerals. And thank you AFwife, I appreciate your husband service and sacrifice for our nation and safety....You take care of him REAL good tonight!Clinique or No.7 for wedding make up??
Clarines without a doubt....Expensive yes, but worth every penny...
Avon, their perfect wear range, will stay put for 8/10 hours, so you will look radiant all day. But I would use Max factor's long stay lipstick, it is the best. Have a wonderful day, no matter what you use. Good luck
No.7 but id rather use chanel or lo'real
Out of the two, Clinique. Good cosmetics are worth shelling out for.
Dior's foundations are nice. Clarins is good too. Go to the beauty counters in a department store (John Lewis, House of Frazer, etc) and get them to do your make up. Get an idea of what you like.
clinique is far better than no.7 and will look more natural on your face. personally though, i would use clarins as i find that it blends with my skin amazingly and gives a super glow. go to debenhams and have your make up done... then you'll know for sure!
Does it really matter which manufacturer produces your make up ? It makes your wedding seem very clinical and too organised. If I were you I'd wear the make up that you usually wear. My preference would be either Estee Lauder or YSL. Have fun.
Just use something you trust and already used before or consult a professionalist.
bareminerals all the way! your face will look clear and like you didn't put on anything on at all!
Whichever you normally use. Don't switch to a new brand of makeup right before the wedding, because you don't know how well it will react with your skin.
wedding?
why not airbrush makeup. it will last longer possibly several days
for the honeymoon exploites and you wont have to stop to apply more for awhile, just a suggestion. but the person should be experienced aND HAVE HIGH GRADE MAKEUP FOR THE JOB,JUST BE SURE TO BUT REMOVER WHEN YOU HAVE IT APPLYED IF YOU CHOOSE THE ROUTE
A little of both I would imagine! The best possible foundation to suit your skin and stop you looking shiny (if you're prone to that) then experiment with different make up products and brands until you achieve the look you desire. I don't think that name or price makes a difference with things like eye shadow but a good (aka 'expensive') base will last you all day and is really worth shelling out for. Congratulations and good luck!
No.7. They're not cheap though.
I used Clinique and it turned out great! I went into a department store and tried different ones to find what I liked and what suited me!
Congrats and good luck!!
clinique. xx
My best friend is having her and the whole wedding party's make-up done at MAC.
I do like clinique though.
Just keep it natural.
I say clinique --I don't know what the other is though. . .
neither, try bare minerals or prespectives, they have custom blended make-up that can/will match your skin perfectly and isn't too expensive
Try MAC - they did my friends make up for her wedding and she looked lovely and fresh faced. Dont know how much they charge to do your make up for you though.
my make up artist used Mac because it is long wear without any re-applying.
Mac also has a lip gloss that is awesome...you apply the colour and then the gloss and it last and it will not kiss off and will not leave that awful lipstick mark on your glasses when drinking.

Wedding Make Up Help...?
Chicago Suburbs Lake County?
Can anyone show me pictures of make-up that would look nice (for the bride).... colors are Red and White...Don't know if this matters. I will wear a white dress with a red sash.
Anyone know of a make-up artist in the Chicagoland Area....lake county...neare gurnee?Wedding Make Up Help...?
No im dont live anywhere near tht but i do have some ideas for what you might be looking for.
For soft tone.
your av pictures looks somewhat pale so, i would add a tint of red blush along the cheek bone, along with a red lip liner along with a somewhat pink more red lipstick to go along with it, witha gloss that keeps the colour lasting. Since your in white and red. just add a darker colour to the lips of this picture
Your eyes would be great, a nice a soft pink or purple near the lashes and under you bottem lashes with a white above it mixing it to give a somewht misty effect, smokey would be for the darker colours misty for lighter. blending into a pale white eyeshadow the almost reaches the brows. and nice lashes so...somewhat like this i tried my best to find a picture of what i was describing

Wedding make up help!!?
I am getting married and I do not what kind of make up to use, how to wear it or how to put it on. I have latina skin (close to Jessica Alba and jennifer Lopez skin tone), the shape of my face is square (like Demi Moore) and I have medium Long black hair. Can you help? Wedding make up help!!?
I assume you're getting your hair done at a salon the day of....most salons have wedding makeup applications...congrats!Wedding make up help!!?
I am not sure what kind of dress you are planning on wearing, but here are some suggestions:
~Go for a natural, sunkissed, I-just-had-a-lot-of-fun-outside look. Slightly rosy cheeks, pinkish-brown lip gloss, and a little bit of tan eye shadow.
~ Go for wavy hair. Here is a picture of what I am thinking of: http://lookstolove.blogspot.com/2007/08/鈥?/a>
Have fun, and best of luck!

all right...lets see...first off...you have a olive skin tone...maybe beige..olive isnt bad either...thats what mine is...start with your consealor...not sure how to spell that...but just dab the parts of your face that show more pink...then apply a liquid creme foundation...be sure to blend into your neck...and right by your ears...put it on your eyelids too...just to make your complexion even...then I do the bronzer...right underneith the cheek bone..it makes it look higher...and then add a light peachy pink to your cheek...only on the sides of your face though..if you do eyeliner only do the top...doing the bottom isnt that great for weddings...and not heavy either..make sure to put mascara on the top and bottom lash..not heavy on the bottom though..just give it alittle colour..pick a shimmery pinkish tanish eyeshadow..then put a darker color on the crease of your eyelid like a dark pink....blend it in..and add a light white to right underneath the brow...make sure you get your brows waxed..or plucked proffesionally...it looks much better...better to do it a week ahead of time..or two..as for lip color just use a little lipstick..that is a lighter pink..not dark..but dab part of it off so that it doesnt look too severe..then add a sheer pink lip gloss..not too much..now..add a little bronzer to the t zone of your face..lightly..do not do the thing with eyeliner that people put something on the corner of their eyelashes to make it go up...that doesnt look right for that occasion...if you have anyother questions email me at rcstarrettc@yahoo.com...love to help...good luck!
Go to a salon or makeup professional and have airbrush makeup done. It's a little pricey but it will match your skin PERFECTLY and it will stay on forever! You won't have to touch up anything all day and you'll be able to relax and enjoy your day!

Well the best way to go with wedding makeup is light and fresh. Don't over do it with the eyeliner or mascara. You could always look at picture of celebrity weddings to get ideas.
First off, CONGRATS!
Second, try to use silver or gold eyeshadow, then soft sheer pink lipgloss and mascara

Wedding Make up?
I need to figure out what shades and tones to use for my wedding day.. I am wanting to do my own make up...
My complexion is fairly medium tan, dark brown eyes and brown hair....
wedding colors pink and brown (if that gives any help) with beach theme. and my dress is light ivory.
any help from eyes to toes would be wonderful...Wedding Make up?
First you need to determine your skin tone - either warm or cool. It's sounds like you have a warm skin tone but here's how to check:
Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.
Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.
More about color: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_tone_c鈥?/a>
Then you can decide on a color palette. For a wedding you will want neutral, classic makeup. If you are going to have black %26amp; white photos taken make sure the colors you select will look good in them.
After you've narrowed down your color choices, have a friend take photos of you in a 2-3 different looks in different light settings so you can check out how well each one photographs.
My first suggestion would a slightly, shimmering champagne eye shadow w/ black eyeliner. Then a pretty rose or plum blush and lipstick.
Color palettes for each eye color: http://www.beautyden.com/beautycolors.sh鈥?/a>
Here's an article on testing %26amp; finding the right lipstick: http://www.wikihow.com/Buy-Lipstick
As for your fingernails, I recommend Essie's Sugar Daddy - it's a really beautiful sheer pink that will look classic and elegant. This shade just makes one's nails look healthy %26amp; perfect. For your toes, you can choose a deeper pink or you can go neutral. Essie's Buy Me a Cameo is a shimmery, pearlescent taupe that is neutral but not boring.
For more makeup tips for brides: http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/makeup鈥?/a>Wedding Make up?
Just hire someone to do it. It will be a relief, or get Bare Mineral makeup or Everyday Minerals. You will look natrual and not fake.
Also, just because you're tan and bran doesn't mean that one color is good for you as opposed to another. You need to figure out what skin tone you are. I am a cool and my sister is a warm. I have to wear pink, purples and blues while she can wear orange, green, browns and other natural colors which I cannot.
If you need help, go to a Merle Norman store and they will do a make over on you. Then you will know what colors are good for you.
For nails, do a french manicure or just plain gloss. It's your wedding, so you don't want some trendy air brush thing that will look dumb 20 years from now.
I know you will be a beautiful bride. Find colors that compliment you and bring out your inner beauty.
Congratulations and best wishes for your future!
Hey I just went through this.... My wedding is this weekend the 11 and my color are pink and brown too and its outside and it sounds like we got the same skin and eyes and all. hum creepy....
but anyways
I'm going with a very natural but pretty up look for myself.
I'm using a pinks for my eye shadow and black black mascara
i have pink blush
and I'm doing a light pink/nude look on my lips.
and I'm covering it all with a sheer powder. it keeps my makeup looking great at work and I'm a waitress so I'm sure it will keep it looking great at my wedding
and i got the Neutrogena sunscreen so i don't FRY!
hmmm do dome pink eyeshadow!
that would look sooo pretty!
and some mascara,
or a brown smokey eye= ]
congrats %26amp; good luck!
%26lt;3
do something really natural that wont fade since you will be in the spotlight all day. good luck :)
For a nice natural look try www.bareminerals.com, works wonders and you will glow!
Considering your skin tone, and wedding tones I would go (for eyeshadow) with a light pearl for an all over highlighter on your eyelid then I would start at 2/3 of the eye in with a light brown. Wedding make-up should be as simple as you can make it. You should look like you have something on but you dont want to make it a dramatic look. I would recommend Urban Decay Shadows: ';X'; and Smog. Good luck!

My first suggestion would a slightly, shimmering champagne eye shadow w/ black eyeliner. Then a pretty rose or plum blush and lipstick.

Good luck!
Wedding Make up?
Did you have your make up professionally done on your wedding day? If so, where did you go? Where would you recommend (in general)?Wedding Make up?
I had my hair and make up done at the salon. It turned out WAY better than I could have ever done. It was so nice not having to worry about any of that stuff on my wedding day. I just woke up, went to the salon and came out looking perfect. I didnt have to stress about anything.Wedding Make up?
I did my own make-up. If you know someone that sells Mary Kay, try them. They're really good!!!
I had a friend do mine. It came our great and made me feel more comfortable
my daughter got married last week. she had a professional makeup artist do her make up. They can be heavy handed. however, they use the best products.
Do you want your wedding day to be a day of bonding for you and your friends and loved ones, or do you want your day to be all about you? If your day is more about bonding, then do it yourself in the attendance of your favorite people. Avoid having friends or family do your make up. If it turns out bad you don't want any hard feeling on your special day. For a day of pampering and relaxation you can try Merle Norman. They have a beautiful mineral based make up and are very reasonably priced. I went to them for a trial make over before the big day. I loved the products, but not so much the make over itself. So I bought the products And I am going to do my own. I'M Gunna LOOK HOT!! Good luck!!
I did my own makeup on account that my hairdresser was in a car wreck and the lady that stood in for her royally screwed up my hair (looked like something from the movie Steel Magnolias) and I had to have it totally redone leaving no time for make up appt. I was 30 minutes late to the castle and my dress wasn't there....oh wait...sorry....I am sure everything will go smoothy for you though.
Make sure whoever does your makeup uses sealers. I did a great job on my own, but wished I had been able to seal it due to all the happy tears!
Have your maid of honor do it. Unless hers looks bad.
No joke. She will want you to look gorgeous %26amp; do her best.
That's what I did.
i had mine professionally done!! if you go to a salon just tell them not too much!!
I DID MY OWN, I NEVER LIKED IT WHEN SOMEON ELSE DID MINE. WITH ALOT OF MAKEUP CONSULTANTS YOU CAN GET IT DONE BEFORE SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE.
One of my bridesmaids did mine. She did a good job. She is much girlier than I am and did a much better job than if I tried to do it myself.long hair styles

Wedding make-up?
I'm getting married in 12 days and I'm doing my own make up, but really don't have a clue what I should be going for, I want it kept simple, but need some ideas! Help!!Wedding make-up?
Congratulations!
Why not look through magazines for inspiration, see what kind of eye make-up you like etc. If you have time, take one of them to a counter that you like, and pick an assistant whose make-up you like and see if she can help you recreate it.
I would go for waterproof mascara (those tears can come even if you think you won't cry!) and steer clear of anything super glossy on your lips. Remember you are going to be kissing a lot of people and it will come of very quickly!
I would get your bridesmaid to carry spare powder and your lipstick plus tissues.
Also be careful of anything too shimmery or shiny which will reflect the light in the photographs.
Good luckWedding make-up?
Definitely keep it as simple as possible. If you are worried then just go and ask a beauty expert if she can show you so that you can copy it on the day. Most department stores have useful beauty assistants who will give you a makeover for free.
You have already answered your own question, keep it simple, try a few different shades before the day.
simple foundation and concealer which ever you normally use, pale pinks/ creams, brown in corners of eyes, peachy blusher little not a lot pinky lipstick and plain classic black mascara!
Elegant not too fussy, I tried several different full face option and decided on which one I wanted, and this was more or less it. ( do not use any products that you haven't used before, just in case of an allergic reaction)
whatever you do dont use anything that has got glitter in it because its can show up as light dots on ur wedding photos and it doesnt look good
You could just go to a makeup counter today and have a free makeover (MAC, Benefit) then go back on wedding day - buy a lipstick to get it applied throughout the day.
get something tat looks natural on u n blend it with silver or any kind of metalic tat matches ur dress i dontlike taking 4ever so u just stick with natural colors. simple n elagent
maybe you should try some really pretty lipgloss but not too pretty because you want to keep it simple
something natural and something really Rosy for your cheeks.you will look fab!
-from a friend
i think you should go for a gawjus matte foudation with a honey suckle cheek glow, and a smudge of smokey brown eyeshadow/eyeliner to frame your eyes making sure to add a little more on the outer eyelids and finish with a generous but not clumpy coating of mascara.
best thing to do is to keep it simple so you already have the right idea. You should look like you on the day, good skin is essential so light glowey foundation, like the new YSL one with the brush, its foolproof even I can use it, or the foundation ';by terry'; from space nk is excellent. soft colour on your cheeks, to create a healthy glow. eye colour may be best staying close to the colours you normally wear, to accentuate your eyes a really good mascara like the new maybeline one, no clumps but really lenghtening, eyelure individual lashes just on the outstide corners of your eyes and some glowey highlighter on your cheek bones, collar bones. A good eyebrow wax will help to open up your face too, use someone you already know is good though! Hope it all goes brilliantly for you, best wishes
go for neutral tones, light shades of brown and cream...
.... keep it clean and simple... add a little white eye makeup to the top of your eyebrow for a highlight effect.. and try a neutral lipstick with a gloss over the top.... try a bronzer on your cheek bones instead of a blusher... the nutral tones will give you a natural beauty :) also for that little bit of glitz... try adding a bit of glitter spray to your hair and face... just for that bit of sparkle ;) xxx
BEST Place would be to check out some wedding directory sites, ones that have been rated and recommended.

Wedding Make Up Help...Chicago Suburbs Lake County?
Can anyone show me pictures of make-up that would look nice (for the bride).... colors are Red and White...
Anyone know of a make-up artist in the Chicagoland Area....lake county...neare gurnee?Wedding Make Up Help...Chicago Suburbs Lake County?
I know of a few wedding-day makeup artists in Chicago that will come to you the day of the wedding.
Look into Sonia Roselli. She does an amazing job with airbrush make up that will leave you flawless all day. She also does customized cosmetics, so she will create colors specifically for you and your skin tones rather than try and pigeon hole you into a make up set that has been pre-created. She also has packages in case you want your entire wedding party to use her services. If Sonia is unavailable, her assistant Andie is fabulous, too!

I am a Chicago based makeup artist. I travel to you. Please visit www.marladelangel.com for portfolio.
Makeup for wedding should definetly be done by a professional. I am actually planning on asking my makeup artist from Mac Cosmetics in Chicago Downtown. I think they do jobs on the side besides working at the department stores. Try to befriend one and perhaps they will do it for cheap.

WEDDING MAKE-UP IDEAS?!?
ok so my friend is getting married and i don't know how to do my makeup 4 that day any tips or makeup ideas? thanx =D
ps. i know how 2 do my makeup i just don't have an idea, i want something new thanxWEDDING MAKE-UP IDEAS?!?
I've been in a ton of weddings, so I look for inspiration in clothing ads to switch it up for each one. Some catalogs (Victoria's Secret, Newport News) I've gotten recently had great makeup.
Regardless of the specifics, I have to say it's best not to get too trendy with your hair and makeup. You don't want your friend to look at her wedding pictures in 5-10 years and think how awful and ';so 2009'; you look.WEDDING MAKE-UP IDEAS?!?
light pink icy eyeshadow with some eyeliner and nude lipgloss :)
maybe something ';classic'; - have your eye make-up be ';natural';, and then use a bold red lipstick
fresh and natural
Try to match your make up with your dress, anything extravaganza just liner mascara the eyeshadow color you've chosen and a lip gloss
Is it a summer wedding? Maybe you can use a little bronzer on your face to look extra glowy?
For your eyes use some eyeliner and do a smoky effect or maybe match your eyeshadow to the color of your dress?
Hope this helps!! : )
what colour clothes are you wearing?
match your eyeshadow to the colour of your dress.
have a nice gentle lipgloss.
use bronzer or blush to define cheeks.

Wedding make up help?
i am getting married soon and have green/hazel eyes and am going to wear red. i was wondering what colour eyeshadow/liner should i wear to bring the colour of my eyes out and also what colours of makeup (like blusher etc) should i wear to match my outfit? i thought that maybe if everything was red it would look toooooo redish lol. also my skin tone is medium whatever that means lol.Wedding make up help?
well if you look good in red, try a blush that has as close to the same shade as possible. You don't want to wear and slightly purplish red with a slightly orange red. Don't ever wear red on your eyes as this is too overpowering. Wear a light covering of blush on the apples of your cheeks so you have a natural glow, and not overthetop. Eye makeup can be subtle like a dark brown liner around the eye versus black. And you can try a golden brown LIGHTLY applied in the crease to bring out your eyes, and a cream colour in the corners and along the outer edge of your eyebrow to lift and define. Wear a high quality mascara. Keep everything on your eyes muted and natural if you are going to wear red lipstick (which you should). Again, match it to the shade of your dress, don't use a different tinted red. Whatever you do, only play up one feature at a time. You can have slightly dramatic eyes and red lips since its your wedding, but don't over do it. Have an amazing wedding, and I hope this helps!Wedding make up help?
Try a lighter version of the smoky eye look..try Mac Nylon or Vanilla as the base and browbone highlight, and Satin Taupe in crease, with a bit of Carbon at lashline. Sooo pretty! Then use a nude blush like Mac Buff, shimmer highlighter on cheekbones like Benefit Highbeam, and a rosy nude red glossy lip. I did this for a wedding party once when I worked at Benefit, and they had red dresses too. It looked great!

Wedding make up by myself?
How would I do it myself, my best friend wants me to do do hers for her wedding? This is her second wedding and she doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I'm pretty good at using and applying make up, but what are the best ways to do it for a wedding?Wedding make up by myself?
wedding make-up should be darker (i.e. eye shadow and blush).
tell her to use foundation and powder so her make-up will hold up better. if you know how to put on foundation right, then it won't look cake-y.
have her wear fake eyelashes. it looks beautiful.
don't use browns (unless its her color themes) because its too plain. you want the bride to stand out.
if she wants the simple look, then at least use some tints, otherwise in the pictures, the bride's face will blend.
do a trial a week before. that way you can perfect it again later or buy better colors that look best on the bride.
good luck!Wedding make up by myself?
Depends what the lighting will be like. If it's at night or in a fairly dark place indoors I'd add just a little more makeup than usual cause those camera flashes could wash you out. Definitely accentuate your eyes and lips in colors that compliment your skin tone and dress.
Do it before the wedding. That way, you can figure out the look she wants, the color's etc.... I did my own make-up because I can do it as well as a professional

Wedding make up?
Using bare minerals for foundation
Got purple eye shadow it is light
Anything else I can use?Wedding make up?
I would advise you against using purple eyeshadow. A makeup artist once told me a long time ago that purple eyeshadow often make it look like you have been crying. I would stick to the browns, taupes, etc. for your eyes.
For your lipstick I highly recommend Covergirl's Outlast Lipstick - but try to get the kind that says ';Smoothwear'; on it since the others can be very drying. That stuff stays on all day. I can wear it all day and wake up the next morning with it on.
For your checks you should definitely try Benefit Cosmetics. They have this great product called ';High Beam.'; It's wonderful. Makes the cheekbones really stand out and looks wonderful...Wedding make up?
1.) Use MAC StudioFix Powder Foundation. Fabulous product and great for photos and long wearing.
2.) Smashbox eyeshadow primer, lip primer, and concealers are great.
3.) Wear a *neutral* color on your eyes, not purple in 99% of cases. Perhaps a beige, light pink, light bronze, or light brown. Your safest bet is a light champaigne, taupe, or beige.
4.) Unless you have darker skin/hair, use brown liner. Liquid lasts a long time and doesn't smudge if you want a defined look. Smashbox sells a great cream to powder liner that is waterproof. Avoid dry powder liner and most waxy pencils, which will smudge and run,
5.) Curl your lashes and apply a non-clumpy waterproof mascara. Or, use eye lash extensions. I did and loved them. I got a ';semi-permanant'; pair that looked natural and lasted for about 4 weeks.
6.) Go for some color on your cheeks but be careful to avoid the clown look, which happens to many brides. DO NOT get carried away and start putting blush on your forehead, chin, etc. Foreheads and temples do not blush. Trust me, it does not look good or natural in pictures. Apply a light peach blush to cheeks (works with most skin tones) and perhaps a little bronzer on top.
7.) You may want to use a shimmer lotion for your arms or a shimmery powder. Avoid bronzer, which can stain your gown.
8.) Carry blotting papers and a moisturing makeup ';setting'; mist to freshen up. I like the Body Shop's Vitamin E Rose Mist and Tea Tree Oil blotting papers. Fabulous.
9.) Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
10.) If you have played up your eyes, stick with a clear or neutral color on your lips. Unless you are a person who regularily wears bright reds and pinks and look great doing so, again, stick with neurtals.
I did my makeup for my wedding. I used to do makeup professionally. First start with Laura Geller spackle (it will keep your makeup in place). Then place a good foundation on. Let it sit for a couple of minutes then blot it with a tissue... takes out any extra oil. Then use a pressed powder on your entire face. Then do your blush. Do your eyes a little heavier than normal so they show in the pictures. Also if you have a steady hand think about using fake eyelashes. Get the individual long lashes (they look like 3 lashes in one).
To put on the lashes first put eyeliner on the top lash as close to your lash line as possible. then with a fine tip tweezer put the lashes in the eyeliner and move as close to your eyelashes as possible. Also use a reddish color lipstick instead of a brownish color. Shows up better in pictures. DONT forget waterproof mascara.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy everything!!
if you have long lashes mascara would be good if not false ones add flare go for it and congrats !!! good luck
For pictures you may want your make-up a little heavier/darker.
I'm a theatrical costumer, but I also am familiar enough with costuming and stage lighting (very similar to photography lighting) to know the following:
1. You want a good foundation, preferably a liquid, if your complexion can handle it, a creme. Cremes are going to cover the best, photograph the best, and last the longest. However, if you have skin like mine--creme is the last thing you put on it, because an hour later your face will be melting off.
2. Purple eye shadow will ACCENTUATE under eye circles, and will not make your eyes stand out, they will actually make them look sunken in--something you DO NOT want on your wedding day. Keep eye shadows in the natural familys, but if you want to do the smoky eye effect, that's fine. Just avoid colors.
3. Gloss is a no no--it will reflect the flash right off your lips, and your photos will not turn out well at all. Get a good, natural color of matte lipstick, find one you like and go for it. Remember to either go dark with your eyes or lips, not both.
4. If you tend to get oily skin, then instead of continually powdering during the day, which will eventually make you look cakey, get those blotter sheets, I've seen them at WalMart, drugstores, etc. They're great, they absorb the oils on your face WITHOUT removing your makeup!
You can also go to the makeup counters at any department stores, make an appointment with them, and try out a different look. Take your digital camera, and take a photo of yourself when you're all done.
Good luck!
I love Bare Minerals makeup!!
I would suggest adding a bronzer or even a blush. Something that will give you a glow and a little color!
I would do a trial make up run to see what else you need to complete your look. I am thinking gloss, mascara and eye liner. If you don't wear makeup everyday you may want to keep it simple..if you wear makeup all the time you may want to try the pros and get dazzled up!
you could foil the eye shadow to darken it. Make sure your eye lids are well moisturized with lotion and damp'n your eyeshodow brush but tap it out until almost dry then you are ready to apply
A natural color high gloss lip shine will look nice.
Bare Minerals is awesome!
BUT.........
THREE make-up artists told me this past week at Sephora that Bare Minerals does not photograph well and it makes your skin look pale and white due to an ingredient in the make-up. I'm still trying to research this ';theory';....I am going to email our photographer and ask him this question.
pale pink lip gloss with a slightly darker than your skin tone lip liner. Este Lauder blush and mascara.
Just a small FYI... if you don't normally wear that color of eyeshadow, you might do a run through, my sis-n-law did this and she was mortified how the pics turned out, she didn't have it on thick or anything it looked normal in person, but in the pics it over took her eyes and it was all you could see... she was in tears, and 3 years later, she still gets upset over her pics....
Don't forget to use an eyelash curler. It's probably the most useful thing I have in my makeup bag...nothing perks up eyes like curled lashes.
You really have to make your eyes pop. So use mascara and eye liner and the purple eye shadow sounds cute. I would go with light lips because if you use like bright colors for lips and everything else is light (dress, other make-up, veil, etc.) it can be distracting. So maybe baby pink lips with a clear gloss
You could do that thing with the white eyeliner/shadow in the inner corners and lower half of the lid for the bright eyed awake look? Bright eyed brides are probably a plus. lol
Good Luck
With make-up for weddings, you should wear a little more than you usually do because the camera has a tendency to wash out your features. So accentuating a little more will actually look better in pictures.
*Even out skin tone and remember to powder.
*Wear blush or bronzer to brighten your face otherwise the lights from cameras will make you look a little paler.
*Do your eyes. Accentuate your eyes--you'll notice the difference in pictures. Experiment with shadow, liner and mascara before the wedding and find the right combo and shades.
*Swipe on your favorite lipstick or gloss, but remember to have a little color on your lips. I like using a stain first and then swiping on some kind of gloss--with the stain as your base, you'll have some kind of color on your lips all day long.long hair styles

Wedding Make-up?
I have been doing my own make-up for years and I would actually be really comfortable doing my own make-up for my wedding this July. I am wondering how I should do this as far as the colors, how to get my lipstick to stay, how to make my make-up a step up from what I usually do. Any brides out there that have done their own make-up for their wedding? Any good website? Any advice or ideas? Its an outside wedding in July, PLEASE HELP!! Thank you!Wedding Make-up?
I did my own too - just more intensely - it was on a hot July day, so that meant lots of powder. Try out different lipsticks if you want a true colour staying one - there's a website and book ';don't go to the drugstore without me'; - a lady who has been on Oprah and The View showing that drugstore products are as good or better than fancy-schmancy name brand items. This week they featured a lipstick - I think it was CoverGirl, with a stain at one end of the lipstick, then you put the gloss on that's on the other end.
You'll be able to touch up your makeup after the ceremony if you are having professional photos done before the reception, then don't worry too much because after supper, hopefully you'll dance a lot and sweat that makeup right off!Wedding Make-up?
For special occasions like this, I would strongly recommend that you get you make-up done professionally. Your make-up will need to be ';punched up'; to look good in all the photos. The photographer's flash tends to wash out people's coloring...... and ';punched up'; make-up can overcome and compensate for this. Make-up artists at a good salon near you would be very familiar with this and could do an excellent job.
I have read that unless you really know what you are doing, get your make up done by someone who has experience with doing make up made for being photographed. Pictures tend to exagerate mistakes we may not notice in the mirror. Make sure that you talk to your make up artist about that... you don't want those pictures to look bad because of your make up!
Primarily stay with colors that you usually use, but more so.
If you use products like Clinique or others that you might find at a dept. store, you could go in there and request some assistance with your wedding make-up.
Most importantly, do several test-runs before the big day, especially during similar weather conditions so that you can make changes beforehand.
Good luck!
I was feeling this way, too, but the more I talked to people, the more they strongly encouraged i get my makeup done. Hey, a little pampering on your big day never hurt.
For one thing, do you know anyone who sells Mary Kay? They are trained in doing makeup and will probably be happy to do up you and your wedding party for free. It'd be nice if you bought some of their makeup (it is quality stuff) or even bought some of their wonderful bath kits as gifts for your bridesmaids.
Trust me, they will be able to look like your normal self, only more glamorous. They will also have techniques on how to get it to stay on all day. Maybe they could even give you a consultation before your wedding, and then you could do your own on your wedding day.
Get your makeup done professionally!
If you really want to do your own for your wedding, go to a counter in a department store and have them help you figure out application techniques and colors. They should make a chart for you so you can remember how to do it later. I recommend buying at least some of the makeup they show you.
I'm happy doing my own makeup too, but I got my friend who worked at the Lancome counter in Nordstrom's to do a trial run with my makeup and then do it for my wedding. He spent almost 2 hours helping me pick the best foundation, colors, and overall look for my wedding and photos. It was wonderful to know that a professional helped me so I wasn't going to go wrong with colors.
I made sure we stayed with more of a natural look, but played everything up. If you stay close to what you normally use, you can continue using the makeup after the wedding too.
The important thing to remember is that makeup that looks fabulous in person may not photograph well at all! Think shiny, shimmery makeup. It looks terrible in pictures.
A professional can help you figure out what to do so you look your best on your big day.
I'm not much of a make-up girl on a daily basis, but I did buy some for my wedding and did it myself. I kept it pretty natural - a little bronzer powder, blush and a lightweight, shimmery lipstick - and found a tan shade of eyeshadow with a little shimmer that looked dressy but not overpowering or overdone. A natural, summertime look with bronzes, pink and a little shimmer that enhances your bride glow looks great!

Having your hair and make up done professionally for ur wedding?
I really want to do it but don't want to spend any ';extra'; money in something that might not be worth it..
Do you think it is worth it??
How do you pick a place to get it done??
Do you as a customer have the right to request that they do your hair different ways prior to your day so you can decide what you want??
Would I have to pay for each time they do my hair and make up tryouts??
How does that whole thing work??Having your hair and make up done professionally for ur wedding?
I decided to get my hair and make-up professionally done because I plan on looking at the photo's for a very long time and I don't want to cringe at some make-up mishap :p So to me it was worth it.
I asked a friend of mine who got married when I'd just gotten engaged for the phone number of her hair and make-up artist since the lady had done a fantastic job on the bride and bridesmaids. But since it's doubtful that you're in the same country I would say go to your usual salon, they'll know how to work with your hair and they might be able to give you a discount.
It's advised that you go for a hair trial before the wedding (about a month before) so that if you don't like something they can change it and together you can come up with the best style (oh, and take pictures with!). Generally you do pay for each trial but some places might only charge you for the products they use.
You just go into the salon (or wherever) and tell them that you're getting married and want them to do your hair and make-up. Then you book the appointments for the trials and for the actual day (book for the actual day well in advance).
If I can recommend something: have your hair and make-up done as close to the venue as you can, it'll prevent any possible extra stress. I got mine done at the lady's house and I was nearly late for my wedding.Having your hair and make up done professionally for ur wedding?
Well i love Mac Makeup.
I am going to the Mac store, They will do bridal make up for free but you have to make at least a $50 purchase (Which i wouldn't mind),
For my hair im just going to my normal hair dresser. And im just going to switch it up. Nothing Major. You dont have to spend $200 on hair and $200 on make up just to look good, I think thats crazy!
I def think its worth it and its a must. u only get married once and u need to look amazing. I went on modelmayhem and searched for a make up artists that also does hair. I went on that site cuz i wanted someone who knows what there doing. On that site u can see there portfolios and pics of work. good luck %26lt;3
Psst:
Macys make up counters also do make-up for wedding days
1. get hair done and have veil on
2. have an appt made prior~then go and get make up done
any brand will do this as long as you purchase at least $50
of their products
Well I had my hair professional done by the woman that did my prom plus it was afforable!! I did my own makeup and it came out awesome. Bare Esstentials baby!
Is it worth it? Yes, it is. I love the way I feel when a professional does my hair and makeup. If you're ever had your hair professional washed, cut and blow-dried, you know the feeling. You walk out of the salon and you feel like a million bucks. It's that same feeling you get, but 10x times that, because you have a special, more formal hairstyle and wonderful makeup.
I do my makeup everyday, but I don't do it like a professional. Professionals know how to apply makeup that looks great in person, but also on camera. They can play up your strong features and play down the ones you don't like. They also know how to make you look like yourself, but more sophisticated and polished. So, it's so worth it.
As for prices, that depends largely where you go. But, a trial is a must. Bring pictures to the trial (which does cost money) and consult with the stylist about what would look best for your face shape, your dress, your makeup, the type of hair you have (that's a big one) and your vision.
My salon charges $250 for a hair package. That includes the trial and wedding day hair (also, no extra charge for a headpiece, someplaces charge extra) They charge $150 for just the wedding day updo, with no prior trial. For makeup, they do a trial (it's optional) for $60 and wedding day makeup is $90.
This is a little high, even for this salon. I get my hair done there on a normal basis and I pay $90 before tip for full color with wash, cut and blow-dry. But, every salon has different prices points. Also, it depends largely on where you live. Some areas have lower cost of living, so services like this are also lower in price.
If you're having a hard time picking a salon, ask a friend that has great hair!! Check out her place, friends are the best referrals.

What type of make-up and hair for my wedding day?
I have an oval face...high cheek bones.
i have long blonde hair and auburn-brown eyes.
i want to look beautiful without looking overdone or a cakeface!
also, for my previous wedding, i had my hair in an up-do, but it made my face look really chubby, and i was only 125lbs so i dont want another up-do. i want my hair to be down, but im not sure what to do with it?
any suggestions? What type of make-up and hair for my wedding day?
Go for a half up do. It's very flattering for all face shapes. Don't forget to ask your hair stylist to add volume on the crown of your head ( a little bump) to create a more sophisticated and elegant look. Have her/him create a side part on your bangs to frame the face. You can also ask them to leave wisps of hair around your face if your concerned about the fullness of your cheeks.
Here's a make-up tutorial on youtube specifically for a bridal look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nkp7WJkmK鈥?/a>

Add flowers, a headband, jeweled hair pieces, veil, tiara, or pearl clips to top off the look.

A half-up do is definately the way to go. It has the elegance of an up-do, but you still get the romantic waves of hair falling down your back. I would go with soft curls and a good amount of volume on the top to make your face look thinner. Here is a pic from my wedding. I was very pleased with my hair!

you wanna look like yourself on your wedding day.
so wear what you would wear on a normal day.
but add a little bit more because it looks better in pictures.
as for hair, i think a loose low-do with bangs out
you should really get a professional opinion and not do it yourself. its alot less stressful. find a make-up artist/hairstylist you like, and take to them
i have long blonde hair and auburn-brown eyes.
i want to look beautiful without looking overdone or a cakeface!
also, for my previous wedding, i had my hair in an up-do, but it made my face look really chubby, and i was only 125lbs so i dont want another up-do. i want my hair to be down, but im not sure what to do with it?
any suggestions? What type of make-up and hair for my wedding day?
Go for a half up do. It's very flattering for all face shapes. Don't forget to ask your hair stylist to add volume on the crown of your head ( a little bump) to create a more sophisticated and elegant look. Have her/him create a side part on your bangs to frame the face. You can also ask them to leave wisps of hair around your face if your concerned about the fullness of your cheeks.
Here's a make-up tutorial on youtube specifically for a bridal look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nkp7WJkmK鈥?/a>

Who pays for hair and make-up for the wedding?
I would like to know who pays for the bridesmaids hair and make-up for the wedding, does each person pay for themselves, or does the bride pay for it all?Who pays for hair and make-up for the wedding?
usually the bride doesWho pays for hair and make-up for the wedding?
The bridesmaids themselves usually pay for it, but if the bride is able and willing then she can.
Usually the bridesmaids pay for it themselves, they either do it themselves, or have their own stylist do it for them. Usually most people don't pay to have their makeup done (they do it themselves). But if you want, you could pay for it for them %26amp; that could be their gift.
Everyone pays their own expenses unless the bride has said she will. If you are a bridesmaid and can't afford what the bride has planned for you, talk to her ASAP and tell her.
If you're the bride and you're getting attitude, don't force the issue. Being a bridesmaid is expensive enough as it is.
Usually the bride pays for the hair. Where I'm from, no one gets their makeup professionally done, so I don't know about that...
However, if you are ';requiring'; them to get anything done, the bride pays for that as well.
Unfortunately the bridesmaid pays her own way.
But it should be whoever wants it done pays.
So if the bride is requiring the maids to get it done, the bride should pay.
My mother paid for all of our hairstyles. The bridesmaids did their own makeup. When I was a bridesmaid, the bride's family also paid for my hair.
If you didn't make the girls buy expensive dresses, it would be ok to expect them to pay for their own hair and makeup - just make sure they know that well before your wedding day.
each person pays for their own hair and make up.
Some brides, if they can afford it, will cover the costs as a courtesy, but it's not a requirement.
Good luck
I'd never dream of asking my bridesmaid to pay for her hair to be done, she's doing me a favour
I split the cost with my bridesmaids. I did not want my wedding and perfect day to be a financial burden on them, I mean they all bought their dresses that they would never wear again. So what I did was paid for all of them to get their hair done and asked that they paid for their make up to get done. I thought that was best because it was about 30 per person for hair and only about 20 for make-up. I paid for the most expensive stuff.
If the bride asked them to have their hair and makeup done, then the bride should pay for it.
Depends, if you are rich and afford it, you pay for it. But if not, then you have the bridesmaids pay for it. But please let them know way in advance that they will need to do this. So that they can save or put away some money to get this done for the bride. No one likes the last minute, oh I need you to pay for this too.
Usually the bride pays for herself and takes care of the bridal party.
If the bride can afford it then she pays for it all , some salon's have great packages and it will all work out . My cousin paid for all of us to get our hair and makeup done and she had 8 bridesmaid but like i said only if you can afford it .
If you cannot afford to pay for everyone , let them know how you would like their hair and makeup to be.
If the bride wants the bridesmaids to have their hair styled at a particular salon so that they 'match', then the bride is responsible for the cost. Alternately, the bride can ask her bridesmaids to all wear their hair in an upsweep, a bun, etc and they can opt to either style it themselves or choose to go to a salon at their own expense.
Similarly, the bridesmaids can opt to 'do' their own makeup or pay someone to do it for them - but if the bride prefers them to all be 'made up' by the same artist then the bride would pay for that as well.
I think the bridesmaids should pay for it themselves. . . unless the bride is requesting that they have it done or having someone come to do it and is expecting them to use the service. I had a bride tell us we had to have our hair and makeup done by her person because she didn't think we would look nice enough if we did it ourselves. It was $200 per person! That was not right.
they pay for themselves!
if the bride wants them to wear their hair and make-up a certain way, she pays.
if the bride tells them to do whatever they want, they pay.
I've seen both happen but I think in most cases, the bride pays.

Do i choose my wedding hairstyle and make-up or does the hairstylist?
it's my first time and i don't knwo what to do.
i am just wondering,Do i choose my wedding hairstyle and make-up or does the hairstylist?
I would say you do (tipycally) You are the bride and you know what you like and don't like. Although the stylist or artist have experience they don't know you likes and dislikes. Usually the bride knows what she is going for (natural, updo, etc...) based on your wedding theme, season, etc
The stylist or artist can definitely give you suggestions, comments and feedback.
I would suggest to look at magazines and find something that you like that you would like your stylist or makeup artist to replicate. Be realistic, keep in mind that if you love a flowy curled look that a girl w/ long hair in the magazine has cannnot be replicated if you have short hair... unless you spend more money and get hair extensions put in.
I hope I helped.
Good luck and congratulations on your wedding.Do i choose my wedding hairstyle and make-up or does the hairstylist?
You choose what you like. Bring in magazine clippings or pictures from the web, the stylist will use these as reference. I brought in about 4 pictures of hairstyles I liked, and then the stylist tweaked them into something that worked for me. As for make up I just left that up to the artist, I just told her I wanted a little drama in the eyes but not too much, she took it from there.
It's all you!
Your day your choice.
My advice, take several pictures with you of styles that you like. Sit down with your stylist a week before the wedding and take some advice fro him/her on what will or will not work for your hair.
Once you decide on a style ,do a complete practice run through. That way on the day of your wedding you will know exactly what to expect.
Hope that helps.
Concrats And HAVE A GREAT WEDDING!
