Can anyone help me with wedding make up?

Ok, i got a few questions for you all. First off, what's the big deal with having a professional do your make up for the wedding? Does it stay on longer or something? Because i like the way my make up looks when i do it myself, but i keep hearing about having the make up done for you.

Also, does anyone know how to keep make-up looking fresh for longer? After about 6 or 8 hours, i feel like i need to do a touch up, and on my wedding day, i don't want to be carrying my make up around. So maybe that's what the big deal is with a professional then? They can make your look stay alllllll day. I don't know, if anyone has had experience with this type of thing, please let me know, i'm lost!!!Can anyone help me with wedding make up?
A lot of people like to get their makeup done by a professional on the big day for a few reasons. One being that they need it to be flawless all day and to look good in pictures. Different areas in your pics have different lighting and therefor your makeup may not always look the way you want it. Others just want to have a different look than their everyday look. Or they just don't want the stress of doing their own. Either way a professional makeup session isn't always absolutely.

If you want to learn just certain tips go to a professional and have them show you how to do your own makeup, its quite common for people to want lessons. Ask them how to apply your makeup to make it last and if they have any ways that ill look good in all lighting.

My tips...

To make you look last, start with a good primer under your foundation. Try either MAC Prep + Prime, Smashbox Photo finish Primer (oil-free) or Make Up For Ever Microperfecting Primer. Then Set it with a good finishing powder, Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil or Makeup Forever Microfinish Powder. They make your look matte and keep it from needing touchups!

You can make your eyeshadow last all night as well. You can start by using baby wipes to wipe your eyelids before you do your makeup. Then either start with an eye primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion or start with just foundation. Foundation works because it neutralizes the blue and red tones in your eyelids. Rub a little foundation on your eyelids then with a cotton ball very lightly ( you don't want it to get cakey) powder your eyelid with some kind of translucent finishing powder (like the foundation).

See you really just ned a few tweaks to your normal routine to make it perfect for your perfect day.Can anyone help me with wedding make up?
