I'm getting married in October and I need some ideas on how to wear my make-up (evening ceremony). I have medium blonde hair, light skin and green eyes. I want really pretty, but dramatic make-up that doesn't look too extreme for my light coloring. Any ideas?Wedding make-up ideas?
Congratulations on your big day!!! Hope this web page helps....

Congrats! I'm getting married in December and I bought a special Make up book just for brides:
Makeup Makeovers: Weddings
ISBN:13: 978-1-59233-182-6
ISBN:10: 1-59233-182-3
Also think about investing to have someone do your makeup for you. This will help for pictures, making sure all the highlights and shadows are in the right places.
This book is great it gives you sooooo many ideas! It also only cost $24.95
two words-fake eyelashes, you don't need drag queen lashes, but try to find NYC lashes, they have half eye lashes in criss cross, their beautiful and dramatic but still natural and pretty...and buy really good eyelash glue.....use a mix of a light bronzer and a soft pale pink or peach shimmer blush, and a mossy gold color for eyeshadow, a bit of black liner just in the outer corners of eyes, and a pink peach lip gloss........try sephora store or sephora.com or go to your nearest MAC store, mac has gorgeous colors---hope all goes well for you congradulations! :]
maybe something like this... http://www.modelbride.com/content/004551鈥?/a>
Matte skin photographs best so use powder after foundation . Defined, smoky eyes really stand out and photograph beautifully. Apply eyeliner along upper and lower lash line and softly smudge. Eye colors should be neutral and enhance, not compete with, the bride's natural eye color. Mascara is a MUST (waterproof of course).
You could try to contact a Mary Kay Consultant. She would love to do a preweding makeover where you could try different colors and decide what works best for you.
Some colors to try (Mary Kay):
Eye color: White sand, whipped cocoa, and Java
eyeliner: taupe
cheek color: mocha blush
lip liner: dusty pink
lipstick:pink shimmer
lip gloss: melon sorbet
mascara: waterproof
you can go to the website www.marykay.com to check it out
I recommend eyeliner that makes your eyes pop. I agree with the person that says go to Macy's or Dillard's. They can give you free consultations.
I would stick with the colors that you normally use everyday, but just apply a little darker and more dramatic. That way you already know you like the colors and they work with your skin. You can always go to the make-up department in like Dillards or Macys and have the girls there show you different ideas.
