I have light brown hair and a fair complexion and blue eyes. I am planning on getting a mystic tan. I need ideas on what kind of make up to be using. I want to do my own make up and I do not want to spend a small fortune on Clinique or Estee Lauder. Can anyone help me?How should I do my wedding make-up?
if your going the tan route, then i would suggest a nice over all glow and the classic ';blushing bride'; look. a nice peachy blush (like Benefit's Dallas) is bronzy and looks good on pale skin when applied sparingly, and for blue eyes, i would suggest a golden/pink color that has some bronziness to it. But, with all bronzers it is important to keep the sparkle down, so try to keep the look as matte as possible with powder. keep lipgloss/stick in nice baby pink/peach shades and you'll be set to go! have a wonderful wedding! How should I do my wedding make-up?
No you don't have to spend a small fortune. Use only some cheek color, i'd contour, with a deep pink %26amp; do the apples of the cheeks in a lighter color.
Even do a hint of pink in the center of eyelids %26amp; coordinate that color with your lips, as natural %26amp; neutral as you can.
If not sure about pink - do neutral.
Use white highlighter on the top center of your forehead On the top %26amp; bottom corner of the eye brow %26amp;right above the outside of the cheek bone, IT alone will look good %26amp; Makes so much a difference in how your wedding pictures will turn out. It brings the light to your face.
Keep it natural and fresh. Something you can look on in 20 years and be happy with (for inspiration, look at dated photos of relatives from earlier times who look, well, dated). That's NOT what you want.
Line your upper lid gently with a dark liner (espresso or brown-black for you), use a peach blush, and lip colour which is one shade darker than your lips, but won't transfer (keep the groom and everyone else clean). Mascara should be there, but not spidery. If you could find something which doesn't transfer (ie Maybelline's Superstay Gloss Chestnut Glow, ), even better. That's the colour I used at my wedding. I didn't look like I was wearing makeup, but did look polished.
If you're outdoors, you could pile it on, but why? You'll be glowing from the excitement anyway.
Congratulations and best wishes!
just make sure it looks fairly natural. i saw a girl at her wedding with bright pink eye shadow. use brown or black liner and mascara. i almost have the same look as you and i use this eye shadow that is a silvery blue almost and i get complimented on it all the time. one thing i have found that with my fair complexion, i look pretty good with bright red lipstick. just don鈥檛 put it on too heavily. be sure to practice and try different makeups before your big day!!
Stick to neutrals and browns.

Coastal Scents is cheap and good quality. This is a very nice palette for bridal. You can do a very light smoky eye with a base, highlight, and a slightly defined crease. The colors are very nice and pigmented.
The key for a natural look is to have the face to be the focal point. Learn how to contour and highlight your face. Try Youtube or go to a MAC store and ask for assistant. Of course, you would have to buy the product. It's about $30?
As for the lips, a soft nice lip color is great. Not anything too strong. Whatever mood your wedding is. For me, I love nude/beige lips.
Ahww!!! Congrats on the big day!!!
Of coursee!!
Rimmel Loundon has the brand new mascara that's called Lash MAXXX, it's....im spechless...it's so good, it almost looks like I have fake eyelashes on, and it's less than $10!! Also, maybe some very subtle raisin eyeliner would look amazing with your blue eyes ad light brown hair. I would go nude for the lips. At Victoria's Secret they sell the best lipgloss, pretty much in the whole wide world. They make every girl look soooooooooo pretty! I would choose ';Slice of Heaven.'; !
Congrats on the big day again! Hope your finacee with enjoy ';Slice of Heaven ;D';
Go to the mall cosmetic counters and ask for samples....explain that your wedding is coming up and you want to test a few brands/couple shades.....well, you do, right? OK, now you have free %26amp; good brand name makeup to work with. Try a few different combinations and choose the look you like best. Accentuate your better feature of lips or eyes, you can't have them both stand out. Don't overdo it. Give yourself an hour to get it done on the big day so you're not sweating!
sounds like you have just about the same skin and hair color as me. i would wear a light colored eye shadow. you dont want to over do it. probably a light pink or light blue.
and you definately want to sparkle on your big day. use a light shimmer for your cheeks and/or eyes.
hope it works for you and congratulations :)
Keep it natural...you want to look gorgeous, but not overly-so. You could go to Sephora, and get a free consultation. They'd recommend a few makeup products, and show you how best to apply them. You wouldn't spend much, and not only would you look amazing; you'd also be able to keep the makeup for the future. =]
Congratualtions, and good luck!
Keep it simple. Cover up to match your new tan, light eye pencil and shadow and some mascara (water proof) to match your colors and a bit of blush. Lip liner and lipstick. Don't go overboard and practice applying it before the wedding.
i think it should look natural and just look like it was effortless and as if u were born that way. not overdramatic. that would be weird. oh and avoind lipliner. that stuff is sssssooooooooooooo gross.
Here is a great tutoria for your wedding make up.
You should try this one out.
