Im getting married in december. Im light blonde with pale skin (but will have a light fake tan!). Im wearing a bright red dress! What kind of look would be best?Girls - wedding make up tips?
I'm a make-up artist myself... Wait till the summer is over for your natural skin tone, then you can get some ideas but as everyone else has suggested go natural as the dress will steal the show.....do some thing more elaborate with your hair.Add a tiara / accessories go for the (Maid Marion) loose curl look...keep the make-up natural you should start looking for a red tone lipstick don't go too bright may be with a tint of gold mac do a lovely one called (O) GOOD LUCK.XXXXXXGirls - wedding make up tips?

Keep it light and fresh looking. Too much make up on a bride is always awful and looks really tacky especially as the photos date. With fair skin avoid heavy eyemakeup, keep it natural as far as possible, but add a slightly pinker tone to cheeks and lips for a really sparkling fresh effect
I got married 4 years ago in a bright red dress and I went with natural colours with a tinted moisturiser rather than foundation.
But, it really depends what you want, I still wanted to be me for my wedding.
You could go to your local beauty salon and ask them to try out a few of their ideas on you. Take a picture of each one and then line them up with a close friend to see what you prefer.
If you've got a college near by that does beauty you could also go in their because normally they are wanting someone to practise on, they shouldn't charge as much as a salon if anything!
Oh, and good on you for going for something different so many brides want to blend in too much on their BIG day!
first of all you shouldnt wear a red dress try white or cream like a normal person.
eek! congratulations! dont do anything too heavy, and try to make one thing be the focus of your look or you'll look overdone. try not to make the tan too dark or orange, go to a good spray tan place or find a good self tanner if you want to do it yourself. ive heard neutrogena is a good brand. maybe a little bit of brown eyeliner if your eyes are blue or green, or black/brown if they are brown or hazel. light tan eyeshadow sounds good, and maybe put your hair up or curl it if its long. when looking for blush, dont get anything brownish-pink or sandy pink, it will make you look dirty. soft pinks will make you look (and feel) like an angel. try a sheer glossy pink on your lips. but most of all, remember to HAVE FUN! smile! congratulations! %26lt;33
I think that some sexy
smokey eyes should
do the trick :]

Sophistication.
Never use any frosted colors for your wedding or your brides maids!!! Horrible!!
Look for a good make-up artist in your area. I do not recommend that you do your own make-up.
i'm light blonde and pale too. i'd say wear brown eyeshadow, some bronzer on your cheeks and natural look lips...
Natural is what I was told when I got married. But a bright red dress - I bet you will look amazing!!
I think you need to either go with smokey grey eyes, or red lips!! Hire a makeup artist and describe your dress to her. They can be quite expensive, but you only get married once (hopefully!!)
Have a great time and best wishes for the rest of your lives together!!
Keep it as light as possible so the only focal point is on the ceremony.
Soft earthy tones, such as beige or pale browns, might even be ok with a hint of bronze.x.x.x.x
why don't you speak to make-up consultants in department stores who could give you advice %26amp; try out different looks?

Most people like to keep it gorgeous, while still simple and natural, when I do bridal makeup, alot of times I'll accent the eyes with a color that's in the wedding. For example, if lavenders are in the wedding, I'll use natural mauve %26amp; pink hues on the lid and crease, then a hint of lavender directly below the bottom lash line (further instruction on eyeshadow application below) .If you'll be doing your own makeup, definitely practice a few times ahead to achieve a look you're happy with...
~MAKEUP APPLICATION~
Things you may need: Foundation, Foundation Brush, Concealer, Powder, Blush, Eye shadow, Lip Brush, Mascara, Lip Gloss...
-Start out simple, you don't have to go all dramatic at first, like in this picture: http://www.grooveeffect.com/images/natur鈥?/a> - this girl just has foundation (maybe concealer), powder, mascara, and lip balm, and maybe a bit of blush, :) but her makeup looks beautiful.
*Application*
-Foundation: Choose a foundation that blends perfectly or is just BARELY darker than your skin tone - if you'll be having pictures taken, you'll want the one that's a little darker. Use your fingertips (specifically your middle and ring finger) or a foundation brush (found at Sally's and most Beauty Supply stores) - for me it's easier to use fingertips when applying my own makeup. To apply, dot the area you'll start with, such as your forehead, then apply evenly over your entire forehead, same goes with the rest of your face, but be tender around the eye area. Apply 1/4 down your neck.
-Concealer: Try this one, as directed, you can find it in most grocery and drug stores: http://www.physiciansformula.com/detail_鈥?/a> - apply on under eye circles (sometimes using rolling movements with your pinky finger is easiest) and other places as needed.
-Powder: Apply over foundation, using a large blush brush.
-Blush: For a natural look, choose one that's slightly darker than your skin tone. Use a large blush brush in sweeping motions to apply directly under and in the same direction of your cheek bone (you can find the exact place by making a fish face in the mirror). Then apply on the plump part of your cheeks, (find this area by smiling).
----Eye Shadow: For a natural look, choose colors that are slightly darker and/or slightly lighter than your skin tone. Apply a very light color from eyelid to brow bone. In your crease, apply a slightly darker color. For me, it's easier to apply on my eyelid and crease using a dampened lip brush that's been sweeped back and forth in the shadow - this technique also gives it a slightly richer look and helps it to stay on longer. But above the crease to the browbone it's best to use a eyeshadow brush or applicator so that it goes on lighter.
--Here is a chart that shows where to apply the darker and lighter shades, as well as your blush:
http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/lo鈥?/a> - this is just a guide, you don't have to go out far to the corners or as dark as shown here, you can start out light at first.
-Mascara: Choose a mascara that has a brush with lots of bristels close together such as this one shown in this pic on the far left:
http://www.covergirl.com/cgcollection/ey鈥?/a>
-Lips: For a natural look, just use a pink to dark pink or peachy lip gloss over your lips - most of them have great applicators, otherwise use a lip brush.

Also, consider your season and skin tone...
To determine what colors will look best on you, you must first analyze your skin tone, natural hair color and eye color.
1.To determine the undertone color of your skin, look at the inside of your arm in natural daylight.
2.Then decide which season most accurately describes your complexion based on the list below.
3.The list below will act as a guideline of colors and shades that will work best for you.
THE FOUR SEASONS
There are 4 seasons of skin tones divided into warm and cold tones. Cool tones are Winter and Summer complexions. Warm tones are August and Spring Complexions.

WHEN WEARING RED
Many women fear wearing red. Strangely enough, the color red is a color that works for all complexions in some way.
Warm Tones (August/Spring)
1.When wearing red clothing, consider getting gold, beige and browns as neutrals to go with your clothing.
2.Pair red with animal prints, in natural animal fur colors
3.Pair red with black.
Cool Tones (Winter/Summer)
1.When wearing red clothing, consider getting blue, black and grey as neutrals to go with your clothing.
i think u shul hav a nice subtle make-up tone, so dont over do it, dont wear eyeliner or if u reali want to dont wear much!, dont wear too much mascara, coz u dont want ur eyes to stand out too much! And wear a nice subtle powder, and maybe just sum lipgloss to make ur lips looks shiny! And most of all enjoy urself!!!
congratulations on ur wedding day!!
good luck for the future!!
there is a tool on this website... www.marykay.com/barbieherndon where you can put make up on a virtual model. It gives a lot of good hints on color for different types of people
I think you should go with the natural look. You should wear light red lipstick to flatter your dress, and red lipstick also makes your teeth appear more white. Also, on the skin above your bottom eyelashes, apply white eyeliner. This makes your eyes look bigger and make you appear more awake. This touch is great for pictures!!
