How can I make my make up last for my wedding?

I've heard that getting plenty of sleep and drinking lots of water helps. Any other tips? How can I make my make up last for my wedding?
Use a primer underneath your foundation (Laura Mercier do 3 great ones, depending onyour skin type) a primer acts as a barrier between your face and the foundation protecting your skin from bacteria. it also grabs hold of the foundation and holds it to your face so you wont feel like your loosing your make-up half way through the day. then use your foundation (try Chantecaille future skin, its beautiful for wedding make-up) then use concealer on top where needed and after use loose or pressed translucent powder. if you do this you'll be fine.im a make-up artist and have to keep make-up on people for films and tv and this way never fails. PS always use a foundation and concealer brush, not your fingers, it gives you a more polished look :)How can I make my make up last for my wedding?
You can spray your face with hairspray. Its supposed to help the makeup from rubbing off. All though it is not good for your pores. Just doing a couple of times will not hurt.

Your wedding day makeup will be incomplete without ';Model in a Bottle.'; It's a spray you mist on over your makeup, after it's finished. It will ';Set'; your makeup. It was recommended by Oprah's makeup artist, highlighted on the Tyra Banks show and Extra.

I'm sure you'll look beautiful on your wedding day!
Yes you need sleep...no sleep will dehydrate you skin and it will look horrible....no matter how does your make up...First thing in the morning....use a few warm cloths to open pores and let moisture in...then put on your moisturizer with a little SPF...so your skin doesn't dry out. Then right before putting on primer or your foundation put a cold cloth on your face to tighten up and close the pores giving a smooth canvas......use primer.... never fails....and the best foundation I have yet to come across. is Es-tee Lauder double coverage...it stay on like for ever...and putting it on with a foundation brush...gives flawless look..... during your wedding....skip the adding of fresh powder... it will only start to cake up.....use blotting papers instead
Buy Long Last Makeup! Covergirl makes a great line of long last makeup that works great. Also buy a base foundation to put down before you even start and DON'T use any type of facial lotion this will just make your makeup more likely to melt off your face.
apply it just before you leave for the ceremony. but put the dress on AFTER you are done with your make up. use colors that blend well wth your skin. you want to use makeup that is well made and won't fade really fast. mayelene and loreal are good companies. maybelene has a new cream foundation. it is lighter than the liquid and lasts longer than the powder. if you use mascara get a good waterproof one. same for eye liner. a liquid eyeliner will last longer than a pencil. eye shadow shouldn't be a problem. just use good strong colors. but don'tt use something so dark that it makes ou look like a hooker. just about any kind of blush will do. in a pinch, pinch your cheeks a bit so they look nice and rosy. use a loose face powder when you have applied all of your make up to kind of hold everything together. for lipstick, it's a matter of preference. i like glosses.

good luck on your big day
