Wedding Day make up?

ok so we are getting married in late march. and to tell you the truth im not one for make up. so i need some help. what sort of make up is for spring time? what would be the best choices? all this is new to me so please help.Wedding Day make up?
first off, congrats.

You want to go light, and neutral. Use colors that will blend with your skin tone, and eye shadow to accentuate your eyes. No heavy liner or clumpy mascara, you want to look awake, beaming, radiant and natural. Use a lip color that either compliments your lips/skin, your bouquet, or your wedding colors, depending on which looks best on you but still in the natural zone. A little neutral rouge %26lt;no bright reds here%26gt; to accentuate your cheeks due to all the pictures. watch out for foundations, i would reccomend a light powder that matches your skin tone, and cover and blend into all exposed parts of your head, neck and shoulders. You dont want that mask look %26lt;one color face, different color neck and shoulders%26gt; Most importantly, go light and natural, and enjoy yourself. Good luck!Wedding Day make up?
I love makeup and I wear it on a daily basis; however, when it comes to formal events I have it done professionally.

Since it's your wedding day, I would do the same. Pictures pick up very well on makeup flaws. The way you do your makeup for going to work or running errands, may not look good on your wedding day. It may even photograph badly.

When you have professional photographs done, the cameras are very sensitive to picking up flaws.

If you go to a makeup artist at a salon or spa; they can help you pick makeup that works well with your skin tone, your facial features, the tone of your wedding (casual/formal), the accents of your dress and the colors in your flowers and bridesmaids dresses.

They can really make your skin and face look like that of a models.

Even if you want to look like you are not wearing makeup, they can do that. However, they will even out your skin tone and make you look like you have a nature healthy glow to your skin.

It's amazing what well applied makeup can do.
I don't ever wear makeup either. However, I felt that I would like it for my wedding. I'm glad I did! My husband thought it was a bit much in person, but I think I look really good in the pictures. I went to a salon to get my hair and nails done. They had a girl who did make- up. Call around to good salons to see if they have someone who does makeup. Let her know that you don't usually wear makeup, so she should go ';light.';
Go to a Dillards where they do make up for you. See what you like and don't like. On wedding day they would be happy to do your make up for you or make arrangements with your favorite cosmetics person, ask her to do it and pay her $50.00.
something light and neutral
simple is best .. you don't want to go with the trends, because your pictures will look dated quickly. you can make an appointment at a makeup counter (like Clinique) and they will teach you all about your colors and how to apply them.

If you are doing it yourself, go light ... foundation, mascara, light pink blush and lip gloss ... can't make a mistake there! I'll give you a link to mistake proof foundation ... it works wonders!
If you don't usually wear makeup, don't go crazy with it on your wedding day. I would just go with some subtle eyeshadow, mascara, and tinted lip gloss. You'll be beautiful and glowing anyway. Good luck and congrats.
Well if you're not big on make up you don't have to be for your wedding. Stick with something simple like a light lip stick a pale pink or neutral color with a nice gloss coat or even just a nice gloss, a smooth blend concealer for those oh so terrible last minute blemish spots, and a must have is eye liner and mascara the rest is optional! The eye liner and mascara really make the eyes pop and stand out! Good luck and best wishes on your lucky day!
If you have MAC store somewhere close to you, I really recomend going there. Have them do your makeup, then buy the stuff you like and do it at home. Do it alot so you know exactly what to do on your wedding day. MAC is a bit pricy but very very good makeup. If not there, go somewhere that has Clinque or Este Lauder. Stay away from the Mary Kay and Avon ladies.
See if you have a local Mary Kay consultant near you. I am not a huge makeup person either. I know a Mary Kay consultant who is offering to do my makeup for free on my wedding day (October 27th). She is also willing to do the bridesmaid's makeup as well.

Good luck
You don't want to look over done on your wedding day if you don't normally wear make-up. The dept. stores will definitly pack on their products for bigger sale, even if you request light make-up. You can use a soft tinted moisturizer to smooth out %26amp; polish your face. Use a brush or a big poofy sponge to apply an oil free or oil control/matte loose powder. Even if you're not oil prone, you'll be running around %26amp; will get shiny. Matte soft eye color thats subtle with a highlighter shadow under your eyebrows, this will make your eyes stand out. Along with waterproof mascara. Depending on your skin tone, you can do a light blush for the rosy look or peaches 'n cream look. Nude, natural pinks/peach liner for lips, fill in your lips lightly with the same liner %26amp; dab some matching gloss or lip color. Subtle %26amp; weightless make-up to make you the blushing bride.
I've never been a make-up person. My mother has never worn anything except a little lipstick that I can ever remember, so for my wedding I wore a little pink pearlish eyeshadow, the barest hint of eyeliner, a little mascara and some lipstick.

I think it's important to remember too that a lot of times your dress can be heavy which can make you sweat, so I didn't want any makeup running down my face. Simple is always best when you are thinking of wedding makeup.

You can go to the mall and go into stores like Macy's or whatever and ask them to suggest some colors for you if you don't know.

You're gonna be beautiful no matter what, and all eyes (especially the groom's) are gonna be on you so whatever you decide I'm sure will be stunning.

Good luck to you! I wish you lots of love, laughter and happiness!

:)
If you don't usually wear makeup, stick to neutral tones and subtle shading. Go to a makeup counter at a department store and ask for advice about colors that will go with your skintone and eyes, then ask them to show you subtle ways to apply the makeup. Take notes. Then purchase a few colors and practice with them before the big day. If you're not used to applying things like eyeliner, it can be a little tricky at first.

The key to good wedding day makeup is to look like you, but the best you. You don't want to look like you collided with a clown, but going without makeup at all will make you look washed-out in the photographs.

A small investment and a couple practice sessions will have you looking radiant in your wedding album.
If you don't wear a lot of makeup normally the go with a very natural look on wedding day..you want to look like yourself in the pictures. Wedding day you should just be a more polished version of you.

I love the Sheer Cover or the Bare Minerals.

Go to the makeup counter at the mall or one of those places that do makeovers like Glamor Shots and they will help you pick a look and teach you how to put it on. Watch them because at first they will load up trying to sell you everything, emphasize you want the natural look. Make sure you have a top quality WATERPROOF mascara that wont run or dab off as the day goes on.
I wouldnt do to much because you wont look like yourself in photos.

However, a light foundation (Almay has one that matches your skin as you rub in it....foolproof!) and a light dusting of translucent powder will keep your complexion even and shine-free.

Add a little blush (just a little on the apples of your cheeks) or bronzing powder (where the sun naturally hits your face...cheekbones, bridge of nose, forehead) for some color so you dont get washed out in photos.

For your eyes use a little mascara and try one of the mousse eyeshadows by Maybelline. They are easy to use, the color is sheer, and you dont have to mess with any brushes..just dab it on your eyelid with a finger.

For lips. Just get a gloss close to your natural lip color (L'oreal has a limited edition shade of Nude. Look really natural and they have a bunch of different shades for all skin tones). Lips will look fuller, you will look younger, and you will have that beautiful glow.
